Pagosa Springs business recognized
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade will host a celebration of Growing Spaces’ recent award for “Colorado Companies To Watch” on Friday.
Colorado recently recognized growth companies that are developing products and services, creating jobs, enriching communities and creating new industries. Growing Spaces manufactures Growing Dome greenhouses and is a located in Pagosa Springs. The company’s energy-efficient geodesic greenhouse kits allow one to grow flowers, fruits and vegetables year round without the use of fossil fuels.

Chamber to discuss trip to Ireland
The Durango Chamber of Commerce will hold an informational meeting about its upcoming trip to Ireland at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 downstairs at the Irish Embassy Pub, 900 Main Ave.

Insurance, financial group helps nonprofit
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Southwestern Colorado Chapter has made a contribution of $502 to the “Shop With A Cop Program” this last Christmas season.
The donation was comprised of member contributions and a contribution from the local chapter.
Tax forms available at Durango library
The Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave., has received basic tax forms and instruction booklets from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, which are available to the public.
If the forms needed are not available in print, the library staff can help obtain forms from the IRS website, or visit www.irs.gov.
Library to hold business workshop
The Durango Public Library will offer a workshop on the business resources currently available at the library called “Business Resources at your Library” from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Participants will learn about the various types of resources the library offers and how to access them from work or home computers.
