Ts Smokehouse & Grill opens at depot
Ts Smokehouse & Grill has opened at 3 Depot Place, and is serving Southern barbecue and Louisiana fare.
The owners are Chris and Sherrie Martin and Tom Hamilton. The Martins are from Mississippi and were chefs in New Orleans before moving to Durango in 2001. Chris Martin has been the chef for the Hamilton Chop House since 2001. Sherrie Martin is a pastry chef and has been the front-of-the-house manager and event coordinator for the Hamilton Chop House since 2005.
Hamilton is from Durango, and was the owner of the Hamilton Chop House.
The restaurant is named after Chris nickname, Terwiliger. It specializes in hickory-smoked meats, New Orleans poboys and Creole and Cajun fare.
Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
